Once you're matched to a position, you're able to chat with the hiring managers. You can use the web interface at SGRecruiter to chat, or via email. You can elect to receive email notifications when you receive a chat message, and are able to reply to the email with a response.

Anonymity During Chat

Your anonymity during the matching process is very important to us, so it's imperative that you understand when your conversations may become linked to your identity.

By default, your conversations are anonymous if you have not been unmasked for a position. If you remain unmasked and the position closes, SGRecruiter will never provide any information that would allow the Employer to link a conversation to your identity.

Conversations initiated by the Prospect are permanently anonymous

When you, as the Prospect, initiate a conversation, SGRecruiter will never provide any information to the Employer that will allow them to link your identity to the conversation. The only way an Employer could connect the dots is if you voluntarily reveal identifying information during your conversation.

Conversations initiated by the Employer are NOT permanently anonymous

If the Employer initiates a conversation, SGRecruiter will not provide any information to the Employer that will allow them to link your identity to the conversation unless you are unmasked for the position

How we help protect your identity

Whenever you are engaged in a conversation, you will see an alert showing you whether the conversation may be linked back to your identity if you are unmasked for the position.

If you are using the website to converse, you'll see the alert near your chat box.

If you are responding via email, you'll see the alert above the previous message.
